This is just a quick message to say thank you again to Catherine and the rest of the team for getting me in at such short notice on New Year's Eve to help me with my tooth pain. I was suffering pretty severe nerve pain and when I called at 9am Catherine was able to get me in later that morning and carry out the necessary procedure to alleviate the problem. I'm now pain-free and am awaiting the full procedure hopefully in February to provide a permanent fix. I am so grateful that everyone went above and beyond to help.

At Bishopbriggs Dental Care it is our fundamental belief that ALL patients, whatever their circumstances and needs, are treated to the highest possible standards, in a safe and caring environment.

We focus on maintaining the health of your gums and teeth. Our aim is prevention and protection through regular hygiene appointments supported by dental examinations. We believe our hygienist appointments are an integral part of your dental care. As well as helping to prevent gum disease and tooth loss, they offer you the chance to chat with our hygienist about a healthy diet and good oral health habits advice. We can introduce you to the latest oral hygiene aids and products for looking after your mouth.

In this practice we take complaints very seriously indeed and try to ensure that all our patients are pleased with their experience of our service. When patients complain, they are dealt with courteously and promptly so that the matter is resolved as quickly as possible. This procedure is based on these objectives. Our aim is to react to complaints in the way in which we would want our complaint about a service to be handled. We learn from every mistake that we make and we respond to customers' concerns in a caring and sensitive way.

Fillings are a great effective way to repair teeth that have been damaged, either due to injury or decay. Tooth decay can occur when acid is produced from plaque, which builds up on your teeth which can lead to further problems, such as dental caries, gum disease or dental abscesses. At Bishopsbriggs Dental Care we adopt a preventative approach to ensure that dental decay is avoided where possible. Composite (white) fillingsare made from natural tooth coloured resins that are more aesthetically pleasing and can be matched to the same colour as natural teeth.

I first had treatment with David at his previous practice however I was so impressed with my experience and the patient care he provided that I had no hesitation in continuing treatment with him at Bishopbriggs Dental Care. Historically, and prior to David, I was always anxious about visits to the dentist and had allowed several years to pass since my last appointment and check-up. On my first visit, as expected, he discovered that I required quite a lot of treatment but was extremely patient and moved quickly to settle any nerves I had.

A crown is a type of restoration, which covers the entire visible portion of the tooth. It is used to reconstruct a tooth when a larger amount of tooth tissue is missing following decay or injury. They can also be used to improve the appearance of teeth. In addition, teeth diagnosed as having an early crack can be crowned to prevent them from splitting. Teeth which have received root canal treatment usually need to be crowned. Your dentist will shape the tooth by removing some of the outer surface.
