From Our Website

Established over 90 years ago, we are situated in residential Redland Road, Bristol with convenient, metered, roadside parking available. The practice has been refurbished during the last five years and all treatment rooms boast modern facilities in line with our Quality Care Initiative. Our dental team comprises nine dentists and six hygienists working alongside professionally registered dental nurses and highly trained support staff. We provide the most up-to-date technology and techniques in nine treatment rooms, over three floors in a beautiful Victorian building.

Tooth whitening is a process by which the discolourations or stains on teeth are chemically lightened. Your dentist will use a shade guide to identify your tooth colour. They will also use this shade guide to estimate how many shades whiter you want your teeth. There are two main types of whitening ingredients: hydrogen peroxide for strong, fast whitening, and carbamide peroxide for gentle, slower whitening. Generally the stronger the ingredients the more effective the whitening but the most powerful products can only be administered by dentists to ensure patient safety.

Intravenous conscious sedation is a safe and effective way to remove dental anxiety and enable nervous patients to address their dental health needs. Many patients have long standing issues which have prevented them having regular dental visits and sedation is an effective aid to addressing this problem and helps to build up confidence for the future. Sedation can be used to assist all dental procedures. How is IV Sedation given? Intravenous means the drug is administered into a vein. We use a very thin needle which is put into a vein close to the surface of the skin in either the arm or the back of your hand.

Dr Mark Gillis is pleased to offer dental implants as a solution for patients with missing or failing teeth. Dental implants offer a fixed solution to the problem of missing teeth without the need for preparation or drilling of the adjacent healthy teeth. Dental implants are made from titanium and replicate the roots of a healthy tooth. The implant is placed surgically at the site of the missing tooth and after a healing period a restoration is attached to the implant. Depending on the number of missing teeth the restoration can take the form of an implant supported crown, bridge or denture.
