Actually, it doesn't matter so long as you do the job right. Technique is more important. Not everyone has equal manual dexterity and some people will manage better than others. However it is true to say that if someone is struggling to get their teeth free of plaque with a manual toothbrush, usually they will fare better with an electric toothbrush. You must ask your dentist or hygienist for advice first. Cleaning between teeth is often forgotten and is essential to prevent Gum (Periodontal) Disease.
This is a Fact Sheet containing Frequently Asked Questions about Dental Implants at the University Dental and Implant Centre. For more information about cost of treatment, please see our private dental care fee scale. We also offer NHS dental treatment to specific groups of people. Implants are specially made posts that replace the roots of teeth that are missing and are used to support a new crown, fixed bridge or denture. It is made of titanium, a strong and lightweight material which has been shown to be compatible with the body and safe for use.
You may pay for treatment as you require it or enrol into one of Monthly Payment Schemes with DENPLAN. These allow you to pay a monthly sum in return for various dental care benefits.
Denplan is an excellent way of budgeting for dental care. This are monthly plan which give certain benefits towards the cost of maintaining your dental health by the University Dental Centre. Thre are two plans: Denplan Care (comprehensive cover) and Denplan Essentials (maintenance cover). The only extra charges are making and materials charges for providing crowns, dentures, and bridges. The premiums depend upon the condition of your teeth on acceptance and will depend upon which band you fall into.
Here at the Practice we pride ourselves on the range and quality of dental care that we provide. Below we have tried to give further information about some of the treatments we provide.
