| Key skills: | During my time in practice, I have been fortunate enough to play a key role in helping my team become finalists in the ‘Best Team’ Category in both the Private Dentistry and Probe Awards, for the last two years. In addition to this, I have helped the practice achieve the BDA Good Practice Award for the last 5 years, and achieved Investors in People in 2004. Being part of a great team has also helped to develop my four handed dentistry skills, and assist in the training of junior members of staff. I am proficient in using dental software such as Software of Excellence, able to comfortably use intra-oral photography to aid both treatment planning and patient education, and well trained in providing CADCAM (Cerec) restorations. In 2007 I completed the ClearStep accreditation course to enable me to provide their ‘invisible brace’ system, and have since completed several cases successfully. As part of the SimplyEndo course, I gained an in-depth knowledge of the latest endodontic techniques and am comfortable with using rotary endodontic systems. In addition, following my time as a Maxillofacial Senior House Officer, I am competent in oral surgery, an aspect of dentistry that I particularly enjoy. In the seven years since leaving university, I have completed both the MFDS and MFGDP diplomas and several post-graduate courses. This enables me to provide my patients with a wider range of treatments that can be carried out within the practice. I am looking to work in a friendly, forward thinking general practice, where I would be able to enhance my career as a dental associate, and have the opportunity to use my skills to their fullest potential as part of a like-minded, enthusiastic dental team. |
| Candidate CV resume: | I am due to relocate to Swindon from Leeds in April 2011 as my partner has just been awarded a promotion in the armed forces, and am eager to join a family dental practice in the area. As I am heavily committed to post-graduate education, I would ideally like to join a practice that is forward thinking and would allow me to develop my career further, whilst enabling me to use and build-on my current skills. In the seven years since I qualified from dental school, I have worked a year in hospital as a max-fax/oral surgery SHO, and the rest in a mixed private/NHS practice as an associate.
