Dental Implants
Report
Teeth that have been root canal treated can be prone to persistent infection resulting in a poor prognosis and are often better removed. Whatever the cause of the problem, the end result is the root of the tooth is removed. Dental implant therapy is the replacement of the root with an artificial root that is made from titanium.
Single Teeth
Report
Implants have become first choice for many people. Appearance in the front of the mouth is very important and it is essential to produce a tooth that looks natural and at the same time to create gum contours that are very similar to those of adjacent teeth. These are secured by bonding to the adjacent teeth on either side and are effective at replacing a missing tooth. They can fall off and often don't last indefinitely especially when there is a strong bite. We use them as temporary bridges during your treatment.
All Teeth Missing Enough Bone
Report
In the lower jaw, between four and eight implants are normally sufficient to enable fixed teeth to be constructed. This is because the quality of bone in the lower jaw is better. If we are considering stabilising a denture, two implants are sufficient. Bridgework constructed on implants is kept in place using cement.
