As a purely Orthodontic Practice, orthodontics is all we do. Our treatment is provided by registered orthodontic specialists and has a good reputation for clinical excellence. St Marks treats all orthodontic problems ranging from simple aesthetic alignment to the most complex malocclusions. We offer a range of different braces from clear Invisalign aligners and lingual braces, to more conventional metal or clear ceramic fixed braces. We are open five days a week, regular Saturday mornings and some evenings, thereby providing flexibility with your appointment times.

All Orthodontists at St Marks are registered Specialists Orthodontics with the General Dental Council. We are all members of the Consultant Orthodontic Group and the Orthodontic Specialist Group of the British Orthodontic Society. Karen graduated in dentistry from Guys Hospital in 1989 and was appointed Consultant Orthodontist at Ashford & St Peters NHS Trust in 2001.

Types of Braces

Metal orthodontic braces are made from stainless steel and have been used for many years. While they are relatively inexpensive they are the most cost effective and are still considered the cheapest of all the fixed appliance options. These are much less visible and look more natural than metal braces, as they blend in with your teeth.
