The traditional tooth coloured Radiance and Clarity ceramic brackets are the least visible of the traditional fixed braces. The brackets are made from pure grown sapphire and are as clear as glass and as strong as steel. These brackets resist staining so will stay clear throughout the course of your treatment.
Metal Braces

Metal braces are more visually appealing than in the past, with smaller brackets and a range of colour options for both the brackets and the elastics, they are usually the choice of most teenaged patients. Sarah bonds the metal brackets directly onto the teeth then a flexible wire fits through slots in the brackets to connect and hold the braces together. Small bands, known as elastic ligatures hold the wire in place. The elastics come in a wide variety of colours and are changed at each appointment.
Removable Braces

Removable braces should be worn all the time apart from when it has to be removed for cleaning and sport. If you play sport then it is a good idea to remove this brace especially if you play contact sports such as rugby! Removable braces are suitable for minor orthodontic problems such as expanding the upper or lower teeth or straightening crooked teeth.
