In which you can discuss necessary travel vaccinations, advised travel medicines and medical kits and also address any health concerns you may have in relation to your upcoming travel plans.

All travel vaccinations require a travel consultation with one of our specialist travel nurses. You can discuss your travel plans and they can advise on which vaccinations and travel medications you should consider before travelling.

Travellers who are going to an area where there is a known risk of the disease, should consider getting vaccinated. You should seek to have the Yellow Fever vaccine at least 10 days before you travel for it to be effective and to be officially accepted by the country to which you are travelling. Failure to provide a valid certificate where required could see you being denied entry to that country, or result in quarantine. We are a Certified Yellow Fever Centre with availability throughout the week and are usually able to accommodate same day appointment requests.

Altitude sickness, or acute mountain sickness, is caused by travelling to a high altitude at a faster pace than your body can adapt to it. At high altitudes of 2,500 meters above sea-level and above, air pressure is only half of what it is at sea-level, leading to a reduction in the amount of oxygen available.
