I have been a 'paying' NHS patient here since 2007 - I also have three children who attend - the service has got consistently worse over the last five years - they just count your teeth - do an x -ray - threaten they will remove you from the nhs patient list every year. While I do understand and sympathise with the changes and the greedy privitisation of the nhs dentistry business, this practice does not even clean or rinse your teeth during a routine appointment.

They do however recommend that you pay for a hygiene clean - They keep you waiting as a nhs patient for over an hour sometimes due to delays but if you are 7/8 mins late (due to being stuck in unpredictable awful traffic (for a 75 paid appointment) their rude, unhelpful private staff refuse to give you the full time for the treatment - telling you it will be cut short (by 15 mins for some reason) giving you no other alternative and talking to you so rudely as soon as you get in their room - saying they don't have time for someone to be late and you either leave or pay for a service that will be cut short - awful attitude.

Such a shame as the nhs dentist we see is great with the kids. Sad to say this, but after being spoken to so badly this morning by their private staff and told I can pay 75 but not have treatment I say private patients stay away.

Today I was getting the teeth of with my 7 years old son. I got wonderful team Dr Vinesh Patel and Nurse Grenta. I recommend this team and Very big Thank you for hard work today. My son like both so much and me too.

I first came to see Zaynab the hygenist for a clean, and she noticed a few gum issues that needed attention. She put me on a course of gum treatment, and also passed me onto one of the dentists who recommended I have my wisdom tooth out that was causing more harm than good. After years of quite temperamental gums my mouth feels and looks so much better. Even though it's not cheap (I was always NHS previously) all my visits, even the ones that involved a lot of needles, have been genuinely stressfree. Highly recommend.

It will probably seem absurd to say that it was "almost a pleasure" to say that the sessions I had by the dentist and hygienist who work in 'Dentistry On Gipsy Hill', in particular Joana Santos, who with great skill and competence, has ensured that the implantation of a bridge, with extraction of a tooth and various things, did not create any discomfort or trauma.
