We ensure patient wellbeing is central, providing a calm approach to oral surgery procedures in the mouth. These include extractions, gum grafts, soft tissue work and dental implants. Tooth extraction may be needed to address pain or damage, using simple or surgical techniques with anaesthesia, and wisdom teeth can also require removal. 
We provide same-day emergency appointments from Monday to Friday for both registered patients and visitors. At Slateford Dental Care, booking can be made straight with our hygienists, without the need for a prior dental appointment. Gum health is a priority, and we aim to remove any barriers to accessing care that prevents protection against gum disease, offering Denplan and 0% interest finance to assist with costs. Hygiene sessions are vital to continuous oral care, as plaque, tartar and staining are removed using specialised instruments. Having completed his postgraduate training in Dental Implantology at the Institute of Clinical Excellence in Manchester, where he graduated with Distinction, Chris applies his advanced clinical skills through a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.

Chris Logan at Slateford Dental Care is a very skilled and knowledgeable dentist. Always takes time to explain treatments and you can tell he is an attention to details sort of person. I am trusting Chris to take out my old legacy mercury fillings and replace with composite. Every filling he has done for me so far has been great and trouble free. Chris is the only dentist I have ever had that explained the treatment plan on white board!

I have been going to Slateford Dental Care for almost 20 years, despite moving away from Edinburgh several years ago. I have always found the staff... reception team, nursing, hygienists and dentists to be friendly, engaging as well as highly skilled professionally. In my opinion the practice keeps getting better. I appreciate the effort that has been put into creating an inviting, peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. I also really appreciate the explanations Chris gives mini-white board included. I cannot recommend the Slateford team highly enough!

I have been with Slateford Dental Care for many years. They have a fantastic team, many who have been with the company for a long time. I always get greeted by name and made to feel extremely welcome. Stephen is absolutely brilliant and explains what he is doing for you as he works. They are great at fitting in emergency appointments like a cracked tooth to. I would highly recommend them to anyone thinking about need a new dentist/private treatment.
