The role of the Clinical Dental Technician (CDT) sits somewhere between that of a dentist who would usually take the patient's impressions, and that of a dental technician who would receive the impressions from a dentist and then make the dentures (usually for patients they have never actually seen themselves).
During your first, free no obligation denture consultation, we will undertake a detailed evaluation, enabling us to create a detailed treatment plan just for you. We will then run through the different types of dentures available and procedures involved, along with costs so you can make an informed choice about the treatment you receive.
Free, no-obligation, denture consultations are available at all three of our clinics based in Nottingham, Mansfield and Newark. Suction dentures look like any other type of denture from the outside and when a vacuum is created between the denture and the gum. Suction dentures are a good alternative for people who don't want or can't have implant-retained dentures while still providing a secure and comfortable fit.

Very pleased with the service received at KMDC, all the staff were welcoming, and made me feel at ease straight away. The attention to detail put into my denture was brilliant, a much better fit than my original nhs one. Would highly recommend.

A dental clinic worthy of 5+*! As a pensioner having been dismally let down by existing clinic (in an emergency) during lockdown, KMDC went above and beyond to assist in my hour of need, for which I was most grateful. The service I have received since, has been exemplary and never wavered. I would not hesitate to recommend.

Kevin is an absolute wonder. I had a poor experience with another dentist who made me a flexible, unbreakable denture that broke in 6 hours. While eating a scone. A scone! Went to see Kevin, hating dentists and all they stood for. Dirty, rotten, robbing bas. But never mind that! Kevin told me what I needed, advised me in language I appreciated and could understand and I felt completely in control through the whole process. Had three sittings before my denture was completed. Took t away, tried it out BT decided the teeth on it were slightly too big. Kevin didn't bat an eyelid, just reminded me that he'd said he'd look after me and if I wasn't happy he'd sort it. He sorted it. Simple. Basically, I just want to say thanks Kev. Just the job. And Jo? Jo's just an angel. Thanks Jo.

Unlike the rest of the reviews of this company, my experience was very negative. I went to Kevin to have a new denture made, to replace one made by a different outlet, which had become too loose to be effective. My requirement was for a partial denture with just 3 teeth on it, including a front tooth. When I went to have the new denture fitted, at which appointment Kevin's wife Tracey, the Practice Manager, was in attendance, Kevin told me he would leave the front tooth a millimetre long to allow the denture to bed in, & adjust it later if required. However, instead of doing that, he ground the front tooth down BEFORE fitting it, & it was marginally short at that point. Having handed me the mirror to see for myself, I pointed this out to him, & reminded him of his intention to leave it long initially.

He cursed himself & told me he "owed me one" & would replace the tooth. I suggested that this could be done after a 'bedding in' period. I made an appointment, a few days later, for an adjustment as the new denture didn't seat correctly on the left-hand side, &, on attending the appointment, I was admonished for failing to take the casts with me. However, he grumpily said he'd 'do what he could' without the casts.

He proceeded to make adjustment, but, as it still didn't feel right, he applied some flexible material to the offending portion of the denture. The situation having not been rectified, I made a further appointment, ensuring I took the casts with me this time, & on this occasion I told him I also wanted the front tooth replacing, as it was now obviously too short.

He agreed to this, & I made a further appointment for a week later. On attending this appointment, I asked if the flexible material he'd applied was permanent. His reply was that it was 'semi-permanent' & could be removed, if required, when the denture was properly bedded in. As I was driving home after this appointment I noticed that the denture felt even less comfortable than before, my lower teeth resting against it before my jaw was closed. Indeed, when I ate my evening meal, this was even more noticeable on taking my first bite, &, on the second bite, the new front tooth fell off the denture, & I had to retrieve it from the mouthful of food.

I was, obviously, not happy, but was grateful that this happened at home, rather than in company in a restaurant. I went to the clinic the following morning & explained what had happened, & asked for a refund, but was told that Kevin, who would have to authorise the refund, was unavailable, so an appointment was made for me to see him a few days later. However, later that day Kevin left me a voicemail, which i picked up later, telling me that he'd cancelled the appointment & that there was no point in seeing me again.

I phoned the clinic the day after, explained the voicemail message & was told that the practice manager, ie Kevin's wife, Tracey, would deal with the refund, but she wouldn't be in until 3 days later, so I agreed to phone her upon her return. This I did, & she told me that it would take 30 minutes to type up the refund form, which suited me as the clinic is a 30 minute drive away.

Upon arrival I was made to feel that I was the offending party for asking for a refund, after telling Tracey that I would have been unhappy if I'd been in company in a restaurant when the new tooth had fallen out. Her response was to ask "did you never make a mistake?" In conclusion, i'm sorry, but I feel unable to recommend this particular institution, other than to steer clear of it!

16 years ago and needing new dentures my sister recommended Kevin Manners and I've never looked back! Kevin is dedicated to providing 'The Best', comfortable, natural looking teeth in the relaxed atmosphere of his clinic. Kevin Manners is a genius. I was considering very expensive dental implants. Someone suggested I visit Kevin for a consultation. Immediately Kevin and his team made me feel at ease. He listened to my concerns and what I wanted from him. Kevin didnt rush me but gave me lots of advice and the time to make decisions I needed to get the perfect smile.

From start to finish the whole process has been very personal. Kevin really listens and takes onboard you as an individual. He has made me feel confident to smile again. The thing I liked most was that if I didnt like the look or feel at the fitting appointment there was always another solution.something that would of been impossible to change with implants. I am absolutely over the moon with my new teeth and 12, 000 better off. Thanks Kevin
