New patients
Report
The first visit to a new practice can be quite a daunting experience: nobody likes change and often patients feel apprehensive coming into unfamiliar surroundings. Our aim is to make this initial visit as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Our new patient examination appointment lasts approximately 30 minutes where we will listen to your concerns, carry out a thorough examination to assess your needs and discuss all treatment options available to you to decide together on an appropriate treatment plan to meet your needs.
Preventative dentistry
Report
Our goal is to help you keep your mouth as healthy as possible. The commonest problems in the mouth are tooth decay and gum disease. There are a multitude of causes of these problems, however, what we eat and drink and how we clean our teeth are major factors. Healthy gums are as important as healthy teeth, as gums are the supporting structures holding our teeth in place.
Cosmetic dentistry
Report
Are you unhappy with your smile? Are your teeth discoloured or uneven? Are there teeth missing that stop you from smiling? Not everyone wants to look like a "Hollywood star" with teeth that are whiter than white, but most people would appreciate an improvement in their smile. Cosmetic dentistry can help in a number of ways; this can range from simply reshaping a tooth to a complete smile makeover.
Dental crowns
Report
Crowns are a type of dental restoration which, when bonded into place, fully cover the damaged portion of a tooth that lies above the gum line. Crowns can be made out of porcelain, metal (a gold or other metal alloy), or a combination of both. We generally place all ceramic crowns as they are aesthetically superior and give the tooth a very natural appearance.
Dental bridgework
Report
A bridge is a way of replacing a missing tooth with 'fixed teeth' that are not removed from the mouth. There are various types of design, the most commonly used are fixed bridges and adhesive bridges (also known as Maryland bridges). Fixed bridgework involves placing crowns on the teeth either side of a space, and then joining the crowns together with a solid crown in the space.
